After launching entry-level and mid-range Android smartphones in India, HMD Global now came with the flagship Nokia 8 smartphone. It was previously unveiled before the IFA 2017 event and is already available in some European markets. Unlike other manufacturers' latest flagship devices, Nokia 8 still looks like another candy-bar size smartphone, it comes in three different colors with matte and shiny finish body. The company has also confirmed that all the units going on sale in India will be made in India.

There is a dual camera setup behind the device, which includes 13MP RGB sensor and 13MP Monochrome sensor, which is with Zeiss optics lens. It comes with PDAF, Laser Autofocus, F/2.0 aperture and dual tone LED flash. F/2.0 aperture, 78.4-degree wide angle and 13MP front-facing camera with PDAF. Both front and rear cameras are capable of recording in 4k resolution and can record video with double-sight mode. While recording the video, Nokia 8 also supports the spatial 360 degree audio technology of Nokia Ozo.


With IP54 certification, the Nokia 8 also has the splash-proof device supported by 3,090 MAH non-removable batteries and comes with Quick Charge 3.0. It comes with a hybrid sim slot where users can add two SIM cards or a SIM card and a MicroSD card. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.1 port. It runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 outside the box and will soon receive Android 8.0 Oreo updates.
