The smartphone comes with Unibody Metal Design and it will be available in Gold and Black color options. It is the first Huawei smartphone to come up with 18:9 display. In Maimang 6, the 5.9-inch IPS display comes with full HD + (2160 x 1080p) resolution. This kirin is operated by 659 octa-core processors which is 2.36GHz and is coupled with the Mali T830 MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM. This is the same chipset that was previously used in Nova 2 and Nova 2 plus smartphones. It has an internal storage of 64 GB and is expanding to 256GB with micro SD card slot.
While the Mate 10 Lite has been asked to come with Android 8.0 Oreo, the Maimang 6 Android runs 7.0 on the Nogate in-house EMUI running on 5.1. In terms of optics, the device comes with front and rear double cameras. In the first half of 2017, Gionee launched the Gionee S10 smartphone with four camera sensors, front is a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup with focus, with autofocus rear and a 13MP + 2MP dual camera setup. Both front and rear cameras come with LED flash. The size of the Maimang 6 is 156.2 × 75.2 × 7.5 mm and weighing 164 grams.
