The power button and the volume rotation is placed on the right edge and made of ceramic. While the original Mi-mix came with a cantilever piezaelectric ceramic acoustic technology supported virtual earpiece, the new Mi mix 2 comes with regular earpieces but is hidden under the display. Since there is no top bezel, Infrared proximity sensor has now been replaced with an ultrasonic proximity sensor. Talking about the front facing camera, there is a 5mm sensor for Selfie, which sits down at Bezel.
It sports a full HD + (2160 x 1080 pixel) resolution and a 5.99-inch display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor is at 2.45 GHz and Adreno comes with 540 GPU. It includes 6GB LPDDR4 x RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. Like the second major Xiaomi smartphone, the microSD card slot is not available on Mi Mix 2 for storage expansion. Unlike the original Mi Mix, MI Mix 2 3.5mm audio jack is missing.
In the context of optics, the rear 12mp Sony IMX386 sensor with F/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and 4-axis OIS. The 5MP front-facing camera now comes with facial recognition support and also offers 36 beauty modes. The MI Mix 2 comes with a dual SIM card slot and supports the power connectivity. Smartphone supports 3,400 mAh non-removable batteries and supports quick charge 3.0 using 9V/2A (18W) power adapter. It measures 151.8 x 75.5 x 7.7 mm and weighs 185 grams.
Coming to the price, the price of MI mix 2 is worth Rs. 35,999 and the first preview sale will be held on Flipkart and MI.com on October 17. It will be on sale from Flipkart, MI.com, MI Home and other offline retail stores from the first week of November. The device will only be available in black options and there will be no limited edition version in white.
