Over the last few weeks, Vivo is worried about launching its new smartphone in the V-Series. Today, in a function held in Mumbai, the company has officially unveiled all the new VivoV7 Plus (Vivo 1716). Its younger brother, Vivo V7, is likely to start in the coming weeks. Talking about the V7 Plus, it looks like sorting under the Viva V5 Plus version of last year, which had a dual photo camera setup. While V7 Plus lacks front-facing dual camera setup, it has got a new USP to attract Indian offline customers.
It plays with 5.99 inches fullview IPS display with a longer long 18:9 aspect ratio and thin bezel. Unlike the Galaxy S8 or LGV30, the VivoV7 Plus does not have any rounded corners. Even the resolution is limited to only HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels). To protect the full display, The 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 is located at the top. Under the hood, the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon is 450 octa-core processor which is at 1.8GHz and comes with Adreno 506 GPU. Snapdragon 450 SOC is a lit version of Snapdragon 625 SOC which operates V5 Plus.
V7 offers 4 GB RAM and internal storage of 64 GB. There is also a dedicated micro SD card slot for up to 256GB of additional storage expansion. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. On cameras, V7 Plus has a rear 16MP sensor with F / 2.0 aperture and 24 ms sensor sensor on the front with the same F / 2.0 aperture. Both front and rear cameras come with LED flash. This device also has a dedicated AK4376A audio chip which provides hi-fi audio output.
On the connectivity front, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB OTG, GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro USB 2.0 port. The fingerprint sensor is placed behind the device. Accelerometer is also a part of the sensor including ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, and a gyroscope. Out of the box, the V7 Plus Android 7.1 runs on Nougat-based Fantastic OS 3.2.
It comes in Matt Black and Champagne Gold Color Options. The size of the smartphone is 155.87 x 75.74 x 7.7 mm and weighing 160 grams.
